And you’re going to want to sample a lot – the shop has flavors ranging from traditional Vanilla and Mint Chocolate Chip to inventive Ginger and locally-harvested Candy Cap Mushroom. If you’ve got a serious sweet tooth, the popular “Candy Store Floor” epically combines Butterfingers, Heath Bars, and M&Ms to satiate any craving. On the other hand, if you’re trying to behave while on vacation, you can play it safe with a Mini-portion in a cup!

Cowlick’s Ice Cream is a treasured staple for many Mendocino visitors – some ice cream-loving patrons consider their experience there to be life-changing! It’s not easy saying goodbye to your favorite spots when your vacation is over, so Cowlick’s sells a nice supply of T-shirts and hoodies for the whole family. Owners Nancy and Bill are dedicated to creating high-quality products using only the best ingredients sourced from as many local farms and businesses as possible. On their website, Nancy boasts she “never grows tired of hearing [their] customers say, ‘This is the best ice cream I’ve ever had!’”

All of Cowlick’s goods are produced in-house, either at the shop or at their local production facility. Despite their dedication to high-quality, local ingredients and an artisanal menu, prices are​ very affordable.
