Long Meadow Ranch

Long Meadow Ranch is a collection of historic properties in three counties, farmed organically and sustainably. The Anderson Valley tasting room is located in The Madrones, a Mediterranean-style enclave with carefully curated shops, tasting rooms, and lodging. The sun-splashed courtyard is welcoming and serene, and feels as if it were in the heart of Tuscany.

Inside, the tasting room is cool and contemporary, and the well-trained staff is friendly and hospitable. Rather than having a bar, tastings are done family style at the big wooden table in the middle of the tasting room, or guests can relax on the comfortable sofa while sipping their selections.

The nearby Anderson Valley Estate is planted with pinot noir, chardonnay and pinot gris. Its location near the Navarro River and the Pacific allows for cooling marine fogs to temper the sunny days, an ideal microclimate for these Burgundian varietals to flourish and achieve their peak flavors.

The silky pinot noir is aged in French oak barrels and has notes of black cherry and oak. The Tanbark Mill pinot noir is a little more intense, with rich fruit flavors and an aromatic finish. For a different kind of pinot, the pinot gris is floral and balanced with mineral flavors and a touch of spice. The chardonnay is rich yet citrusy, with notes of vanilla and caramel.

The tasting fee for the daily selection of four wines from their Anderson Valley and Napa estates is $25. Reservations are recommended but walk-ins are accepted based on availability. The tasting room also offers tasting of their Napa Valley estate organic olive oils. Espresso drinks made from a custom blend of Stumptown Roasters organic espresso are available. Bags of coffee beans and bottles of wine are available for purchase, so you can take a taste of Long Meadow Ranch home with you.
